About us
Sen + Mel Group Inc. (SMGI), is a registered corporation with diversified business operations in the construction and real estate industry. It operates builders depots and furniture stores, leasing residential and commercial spaces and museum operations.
Started out as A.M. Trading in 1998, when Amon Trading closed its business during the Asian Financial Crisis. It grew from three employees in a 300 sqm bodega in Iloilo City to having 450 employees operating 18 stores in Western Visayas and Mindoro with a combined floor area of 32,000 sqm.
The company imports from China, New Zealand, ASEAN countries and Europe, continuously growing its products from tiles, sanitary wares, doors and Lumber, hardware and electrical, kitchen and plumbing, roofing and building materials and many others. It is constantly looking for world class products to market and finding partners on a long term basis to help serve its customers.
In April of 2014 it entered into a Joint Venture Agreement with Robinsons Retail of the Gokongwei Group; with the latter buying 67% of the company – the conglomerate’s launch pad to expand the business all over the Philippines. We then expanded into an importing and real estate company.
In April of 2021, we also started a new retail business called Dwellu, in which we sell curated Furniture, Lighting and Home Decors. This has expanded and currently has two stores in Iloilo City and Bacolod City. We are currently looking to expand more in other Metropolitan cities.
Now wholly owned by SMGI, we rebranded our builders depots to Dezine Builders Depot in June of 2022, operating its seven branches in Panay and Negros.
With its vast knowledge and experience in the construction industry, SMGI is very optimistic with its future in giving the best quality of curated products to our customers.
Our Vision

Sustainability: SMGI may prioritize sustainability in its business operations. This could include using eco-friendly building materials and techniques, as well as designing its properties to be energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
